We visited Petaluma, Sebastopol, and Santa Rosa for a food and beer adventure. Highlights included the Russian River Brewing Company where Brian's favorite Pliny the Elder is made. We each tried a few different beers, that were great. My favorite was the "Jasper Bites" basically cut up cheesy pizza bread with herbs and a side of ranch dressing.

Russian River Brewing Company and Lagunitas Brewery
HopMonk Tavern and Beer Garden
After visiting the Sebastopol flea market and farmers' market (both of which were amazing and worth visiting), we were starving and a local merchant recommended HopMonk Tavern. They have great seating outside in their beer garden. It was perfect for Pearl- she could run around and hang out with the many dogs that were there.
We got a few different beers- all were great. All of the food we got was amazing- in particular the tomato soup and mac & cheese with peas. Brian had a great burger. As we left, I noticed they served kombucha on tap- so we'll definitely be going back for that!
Cowgirl Creamery
Cowgirl Creamery makes one of my favorite cheeses- Mt. Tam. It was fun to visit their Point Reyes location. We didn't get to see the creamery in action, but it's a nice small store with lots of cheeses and other items for sale (perfect for a picnic). I didn't know this before, but the cheese are organic.

Petaluma Pie Company
On our way home, we stopped by Petaluma to check out the Baker's Creek Seed Library, but were starving, so we stopped by Petaluma Pie Company. They are intentional in their purchasing and source many ingredients from local and organic farms. Just the kind of place we like to support!
We ended up ordering twice since it was so good. We had chicken pot pie, a beef pot pie, mushroom barley soup, and Tcho chocolate cream pie. We highly recommend this and will go back for sure.
